The Waffle House Index

The Waffle House Index is an informal metric used by FEMA to determine the impact of a storm and the likely scale of assistance required for disaster recovery. On the last day of May 2013, we purchased each item on the emergency menu of Waffle House and photographed all 27 menu items in our studio. This project is generously supported by the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation.
